Not a chatbot guessing from memory: every answer is researched from the sources in your library, and shows its work.
Answers come only from the legislation, judgments and reports Amicova actually retrieved and read for your question, never from memory.
Each neutral citation, Act and regulation is matched against the library, and each quoted passage is verified word for word. Anything that can't be confirmed is flagged.
Citations open the full judgment or provision with the relied-on passage highlighted, on a clean A4 page made for reading.
Acts, regulations, rules and Bills from the official New Zealand Legislation data, with each version's "as at" date and status, and repealed Acts for the law at an earlier time.
Supreme Court judgments with the other decisions in the same proceeding, and Law Commission reports, issues papers and study papers.
Every question and answer is kept in your history, hidden from other users, so you can pick up a line of research where you left off.
From question to a verified research memo, usually in a minute or two.
Type it the way you would ask a senior colleague.
It searches the library several ways, reads the controlling provisions and judgments, and checks for amendments and later decisions. Go deeper for fuller research when a question needs it.
Get a short answer, a discussion and the list of authorities, each linked to the highlighted passage in the source.
One plan with everything included. Try it free for 14 days first.

No. It is a research tool for lawyers, law students and legal professionals. It shows you the authorities and where they say it; judging how they apply is up to you. Always verify against the official sources before relying on an authority.
Legislation comes from the Parliamentary Counsel Office's New Zealand Legislation data; judgments from the Courts of New Zealand website; reports from Te Aka Matua o te Ture | Law Commission. Every document links to its original, and legislation to the official current version.
Not yet. The library has every Supreme Court judgment and the Court of Appeal and High Court judgments the courts publish as being of public interest. More courts and tribunals are being added; answers say when the library may not cover a point.

Securely through Stripe, by credit or debit card (and Apple Pay or Google Pay where your device offers them). Each payment gives you a month of access, and we email a receipt and remind you before it runs out. No automatic charges.
Search and reading documents are unlimited. AI research questions have a fair-use limit of 60 a day, which most lawyers never come close to; it resets at midnight. Go deeper questions come from your monthly allowance.
Yes. Your questions and answers are never shown to other users, and you can delete them, or your whole account, at any time. Our owners and administrators can see them to run the service and prevent misuse, and each time they do is logged.
There is nothing to cancel: if you don't renew, your access simply ends at the end of the month you paid for.
